National Service Scheme (NSS)

Our College started its NSS unit in the academic year 2018-19 under the Mumbai university. It consists of one unit of 50 students. It is a self-finance unit of Mumbai university.

Objective

• Understand the community in which they work
• Understand themselves about their community
• Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
• Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
• Utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
• Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
• Gain skills in mobilizing community participation
• Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
• Develop the capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters
• Practise national integration and social harmony

Includes special camps held by respective colleges on behalf of NSS for the improvement of the lifestyle of people.

• Interaction and Awareness Campaign

• University Level Camps: Camps organized by Mumbai University NSS Unit
• State Level Camps: Camps organized in collaboration with all Universities in Maharashtra
• National Level Camps: Camps are organized by NSS India. These include The National Youth Festival
